I agree, also gives you an idea when it comes to higher ticket items like cars or parts etc. if they had good feedback with higher priced items etc. vs. buying $5,$10,$20 items etc.

    Hey guys,

Sorry about the delay in responding to your comments and about my Grabber. I took a few days off to do some job searching (one of the reasons for relocating here from Florida).

$12,600 is the highest I've ever heard for a Grabber or Maverick of any kind selling. It may just be one person who is just bidding against himself just for the fun of it. I only know this because well, let's just say I've driven up a bid before using an alias Ebay name. Not the right thing to do.

    Mr. Earl Branham,
Thank you for your support. I am slowly restoring my car as funds are at my all time low. Still doing that job searching thing. Right now leads are pointing me to NC. My home state and where I picked up my Grabber. Thank you again for the assistance and if I come up with a Maverick related problem, I will call on you.

    Mr. Dan Starns,
Thank you for your comment on my car. It wasn't the most beautiful car when I first got it. In fact, even though it is a true Grabber (Body 62D) it had a stock hood. I ended up locating a fairly decent Grabber hood from a guy in Shelby, NC about five years ago. Through lots of hard work and plenty of money the car is coming together. Cash flow is my current problem. Need to fix that...

    Mr. Dan (dmhines),
I will try to contact you tomorrow about the power steering unit. I'm not sure if I can come up with the money (depends on what you're asking) just yet since you are talking about a complete P/S unit that sounds like it is already in perfect condition. We can talk about it more in detail when I call you. Thank you for your assistance in my restoration efforts.
    David

I guess I sold mine too cheap. lol. Yea, I smell a rat...Top two bidders have zero feedback & our new to ebay. I've seen many nice rust free Grabbers out here in So Cal for way less money than that. I said they were worth more money, but this is rediculous...That's what I paid for my Boss 302! Hello????

Its no longer listed! I wonder if ebay caught onto the scam or the seller saw that something ws not right and ended it early.

Well, it was fun while it lasted. It does make one wonder what really happened there. I think we all kind of know what went down with this auction, but it would neat to know what Ebay has to say about it.

I sent eBay a message to check and make sure everything is on the up and up. I didn't hear anything back but I know eBay took it off. We all know that was about a $6000-$7000 car at most and I wish I had written down all the user names because I bet they also get suspended and I hope they do. There is too much of this crap going on and it needs to be stopped. If the buyer had of stopped the auction it wouldn't show it to be "invalid"so that's why I say eBay got them.

Well, I searched for the two top bidders who were duking it out, and apparently they are not registered anymore with ebay. I guess they were banned.

Great detective work guys! Those guys must have been pretty stupid to think they could pull that one off. I sort of wonder if the seller really intended to sell the car in the first place. Even he had to know the bidding was unrealistic. But that still leaves one question to ponder......what happens to the car? It DID look like a decent car. The owner couldn't be that dumb as to try to list it again under another name. Besides, we would all know the car if we saw it again. I suppose we all should keep an eye out in the event it should pop up again somewhere. You never know. They just may try that stunt again someday.
