Hey guys its been ages since ive been on the forum. I started working, and yah just have been busy.

Im curious if there is any classic car insurance company that doesnt require a garage. I am havin to park the maverick for a good long time. I have found on busy california freeways that it just can not cope with the traffic (namely when it all stops immediately and the drum brakes dont do well)

so basically i am drivin another car of mine daily and intend to keep the mav and maybe get back to fixing her up one day.

i dont really want to sell, shes been real good to me and i like it alot.

so im just lookin for a good way to keep it at almost no cost, i dont have yard space to store with no insurance, and right now im payin about 250 a year for only liability.

if anyone has any ideas let me know. If anyone really wants a good maverick, they can make me an offer as well, i have college bills to pay for, but its realy one of those, only if i could get real good money for her.

anyway this has been a long message, but the main point, can i get classic car insurance without a garage.

    Mikey...good to see you again.

I pay only $150 or so a year for my mav through Hagerty. I tell them it is garage kept, but (hint hint) nobody ever came out to verify that...

Besides, who in hell will steal a maverick? Cheapest car Ford ever made, other than that damned for Perspire/Aspire that I got behind today. I didn't know bicycle tires could handle 40 mph...

And it is so dry out there that it won't rust...

haha yah im not worried about anything happenin to it. basically since im still livin at home, i got one more year of school, then ill be lookin to buy a house another 6 months after that. something with a real big driveway. i have a dream, and its a home full of cars haha.

so just tryin to find the cheepest way to keep it till then

actuallly started her up for the first tiime today in a month, started real nice and easy, i was pleased, i intend to one day put in a v8, changed the rear end and front to disks, and then itl be a daily driver again

right now my daily is a 75 dart swinger.

if you have insurance for it now you should be able to tell your ins. company that you will not be driving it and they should be able to put minimum coverage on it for about a buck a month. thing is, it's not covered if it leaves your property so, no drivey drivey. but if someone steals it or smashes a window etc. your good to go!

i lot of classic car companies require you to be so old too.

as far as i know they all require a garage. if something happens to your car and you really dont have one it probably wont be covered. tree branch falls on it, kids bust out the window playing base ball, ect

You only pay $250 a year?? That's only 20 bucks a month. I would kill for that!

I paid 95 a month for 3 cars up until recently. I was very surprised at the cost compared to other companies. When I first swapped insurance companies, I paid less for 2 cars than I did at my old company for one
