Ok folks i have a Meziere small block ford high flow electric water pump 55 gpm model WP311U, it cam brand new with the 1/4 mile 71 grabber i bought. Its polished aluminum so i deceided to install it instead of the aluminum factory pully one. I have a few questions , Does anyone on here run one of these on your car ? do they work well on the street or are they for racing only? Now that i have installed it ,i noticed that the alternator bracket that bolts to the stock pump wont bolt to this one, can anyone that has this pump tell me what they did to mount the alternator?. Did you have a custom bracket made or can you buy a bracket for this set up . The bracket i need is the one with the two bolts that is fixed to the water pump ,any pics and suggestions would be great . Thanks James

Yes Frank , it does have a Boss for the heater hose ,ive capped it as the car has no heater core in it . The car is a spring and summer car only driver and defenently more for racing purposes. I was told its a pricy part ,around 300.00 to 350.00 U.S. IF IT WORKS AS GOOD AS IT LOOKS IT SHOULD BE GREAT.:thumbs2:

Total of 1825 miles round trip. Temp gauge stayed at 180* except climbing the mountains it would creep up to 193*. I'll blame that of .040 over bore cylinders

I ran mine on the street for a few years with no issues....I think they will probably last as long as a regular water pump, however, they are rebuildable.

As far as the alternator goes, you'll probably have to move it.....I had mine mounted to the cylinder head and then an adjustable tensioning rod connected to the timing chain cover (if I remember correctly) ....... not really a big deal.

I've got a Meziere water pump also. I left the alternator off of it til I get back from the Gathering. I'll figure it out then. Luckily it's not a street car.

I just ordered 1 off of ebay. $99.80 with shipping included. About $20 cheaper than Summit or Jegs. Hopefully I'll get it in a couple of days. :)
