I am about to swap the roller 302 and c4 into the 72. I am going to run headers and know I need a floor shifter. Orielys has a B&M Z gate shifter for $139 and I am planning on getting it. Has anyone ever used this shifter

I have one I got a little bit ago
It seems to work pretty well. Has back up light switch and nurtal safety switches all built in
    They are an easy install.

That's what I wanted to hear. I read it was the economy model of one of the high priced shifters. It looked like a nice piece.

It does take a little getting used to. But you will learn how to use it. No big deal at all
it has all the brackets to hok it up to a C4
Plus, you get free stickers for your tool box, heheh

I liked the Z-gate better than any other cable shifter I have had.
Like Bob said, they take a bit of getting used to, but after you get the motions down pat, they are awesome. Compared to other B&M shifters I have had, the Z-gate was tough as nails.
The plastic T-handle is a little cheezy, but I put a regular aluminum handle on mine pretty quick.
Like any cable shifter, just make sure not to get the cable in too tight of a loop. Gentle bends...
