I`ve always want to build a Maverick as a drag car. And I decided it`s time to start looking for one to build. I figured you Guys and Gals have the most knowledge to help with the build ,so here I am. Gasserman

Thanks for the welcome. The Falcon is an old school straight axle gasser. I`m in the process of rebuilding the front frame and adding a complete 12 point cage .It` powered by a 351C with Hilborn Injectors into a toploader with a 4.86 geared 9' . I`ve got an extra 10.5 to 1 351C and toploader for the Maverick. I`ve got get another 9" to narrow for it. Gasserman

I spent the first few years of my drag racing in a 61 Falcon Futura with a 302 roller motor hopped up a little, backed with a toploader, only ran 12.50s but was a lot of fun banging gears, always wanted to put more motor in it and injected with a set of hilborn stacks sticking out the hood, very cool old school look and gets the job done quickly.

THe gasser is one of my favorite things in the world. I had a`63 falcon in the early 70`s that was a 260 with hilborns and a T10 and is was a blast to drive & race. Here`s a picture of my 351C going into the Falcon. Gasserman
