Anybody have an idea of how much a complete kit would be from Rod & Custom?

Yeah I went to their site but it was hard to navigate. I just found their catalog though.

Just installed one of their kits in the front, it's awesome. :thumbs2:
R&C Motorsports builds top of the line products, I highly recommend them.

We also installed an R&C Ford 9" kit in the rear, that was a pain in the ass. Basically we ended up doing alot of Maverick R&D work for them, the Maverick's rear frame rails turn down immediately in front of the rear housing, apparently so Ford could stuff a rear seat in the back of such a short car. We ended up having to cut the rear floor out to make the links work.

Nice work! The rear suspension looks nice but it's a shame about the back seat.

It's a Hot Rod, who needs a back seat? Can't get back there anyways with the rollbar installed. The plus side is that I was able to squeeze 18/285/40's under the rear without altering the fenders or tubs, no rubbing, and it should really launch with the 4 link.

Wow thanks for the pictures

Any pictures of what the engine bay looks like? Did you keep the shock towers? Any other pictures would be cool too

How long did it take to put the front suspension in?

M.A.V. - Thanks man, much appreciated.

maverick1970 - Yes it is, but I'd rather save that for another day (or thread at least). :thumbs2:

GrabberGT - Yes it is the bolt in Coilover kit, but as I mentioned earlier, it was far from a bolt in affair. In all honesty though, R&C told me up front that they had never tried to install one under a Maverick, and that fabrication would be required. Looking at this first picture, you can see how the bolt in kit would bind up with any housing movement. The second picture is what we decided to do. It could be installed a bit simpler than what we did. It doesn't have to be tied into the roll bar, etc., but while we were in there, we decided to stiffen everything up. It's solid as a rock now. We also added frame connectors to the front.

75Mav91Stang - The front is really easy to install. The hardest part for someone wanting to do this at home in their garage would be the welding, but that can be overcome easily. There are alot of welding services that will bring a welding truck out to your location and do this part. The parts will come bare metal, unless you pay R&C extra to paint or powder coat. So figure time for prepping or painting them. About a day or so to strip the old suspension out and cut out the shock towers and grind both of the frame rails clean and prep for welding. The only thing that needs to be welded in is the crossmember, then everything else bolts to it. You may want to weld in the shock tower cover plates too (we did), but they could simply be caulked and screwed and riveted in. Also figure in time to paint the frames, crossmember and inner fenders once the welding is done and before the suspension gets bolted on.

The Fuel Injection emblem on the back tipped me off on which car it was.
