Wow, if it was a Canadian version of the Sprint, then it is even rarer! Canadian Sprints, which they made very few, had a Maple Leaf on the rear quarter instead of a Flag Shield. You can get repos of the flag, but I don't think so of the leaf. There is a member on this site that has a Canaduian Sprint and you can see the Maple Leaf I am referring to on his car.

St.Thomas built Mavericks had them, along with some built in Dearborn.

The DSO is B1, which is Ford of Canada's Central District, which is pretty cool, someone exported it, and it would have had the Maple Leaf. Neat Car!

Do you have any idea how the car got to Lisbon? Any history on the car?

I got a car from a friend of mines who lives in algarve, we only had the car for a couple months and he wanted to sell the mav cuse he wanted to buy a 52 Pontiac.

The story was that the previous owner was a carpenter and he painted the car in white, thous removing the blue stripes, maybe the car was in some kind of acident.

This is the only information if got...

the old cannadian license plate was DDA 889

How the heck the car ended up here beats me :p i think is only maverick around here...
