I ordered a new 19 gallon fuel tank and everything I need at Auto Krafters except the sending unit is backordered 2-3 weeks. Does anyone know where else I can check that might have the sending unit sooner?
    Thanks

The car is a 72 but auto krafters only shows a 71-74 part #. Part store I went to can not find anything.

Send me a pm. I have an extra new one I don't need.

Is your 19 gallon tank for a 72? If it's for a 74 or later you may have to use a later sending unit.

Autokrafters ad says, "The tank will fit a '71-'77 car. The gauge will read fine on a '76 - '77 car but on a '71-'75 the gauge will be incorrect because they had smaller tanks." But the part number for their sending unit (D1DZ-9275A) says it fits '71-'74. Does anyone know if FORD or NAPA or comparable parts store offer one?

Ford and NAPA don't offer a fuel sending unit for a Maverick.
