I'd rather put in a 5-speed manual transmission, much more fun to drive than with an A/T :)

The C4 might not be a direct bolt up. I'm running a 97 T5 from a 3.8L Mustang in my 66 Mustang with the 3.8 bellhousing. The flywheel for a 3.8 is 11" not 10.5" like the 5.0L and the bell is slightly different to fit it but it will bolt up to V8 without issues so the revers should be true. You'll have to find a flexpalte that'll fit in the C4 and have it rebalanced to the 3.8 (I believe it's 20oz or something odd like that) for it to work and for the starter to correctly engage the flexplate.

Sounds great,if it has the M90 supercharger you might consider getting the bonneville teflon coated rotors you can get them pretty cheap and they'll last longer and will bolt right in.
