The roof, tail panel, left rear quarter panel, rocker panel, and portion of the trunk floor all need to be replaced to make the car right again. The car was hit so hard, that the drivers side door is even twisted. Not to mention the right front fender has been hit before and is full of bondo, the right front frame rail has considerable rust under the battery tray area and the right shock tower is measurably sagging inwards. I guess who ever repaired the car only wanted it drivable again. The car goes down the road cooked and handles awkwardly. Just not worth it to me.
with the Maverick being such a success in it's first model year, im sure there are still quite a few out there. the guy i got mine from still has another one that was sitting right beside of mine that's he's fixing. i wouldnt say they're extremely rare, but they're different and kinda neat to have around (personally, im all about the key in the dash, lol)

Are you kidding mav1970, that looks awesome, mine is going to have to go through that very same transition and I wish it was that far along, good work!
I got one but I'm not smart enough to post pics on here. Was a 170/3spd car. now 302/c4 p/s and disc brakes. Gave it to my 14 yr old for his first car. He LOVES it.
Thanks for the thumbs up, Ward I guess it's all in how you look at it. Half full or half empty. I just wish it was done already.
