    I was at the track today....

    There is a reason the Cobra motor rocks...

    9.20 Stock internals, Mild port job, Stock cams,
    Single turbo.....

    All this with 281 ci

    Talked to the owner says he drives it on the street when ever he wants to:thumbs2:

    At idle you would not know the monster that is lurking underneath.....


    There was also the MAD Maverick there running mid 9s all motor 400ci
    Sweet!!!!!!!!

    the 4.6l was in a mustang but it just reaffirms that this is truly a world class engine.....

    '75 Maverick, '03 super duty, '04 Mustang Vee-six!
    The LSx guys hate the 4.6 4 cam motors. Put a turbo on a 4.6 and it will walk on an LSx all day long. 'Course you put a turbo on an LSx and I'm sure they'll haul as well. HOT ROD mag did an article (I think it was hotrod) on a Fairmont with a 5.3 truck engine, single turbo...all junkyard stuff and it went low tens, IIRC.
