car trouble

    my friends 89 nissan sentra is having some trouble.when i try to turn it on it wont start until i push the accelerator all the way down...and when i let go of the accelerator it turns off...what could it be?:huh:

    I came across this on a Cavalier that i once had. The throttle sensor worked fine but the idle sensor took a crap?

    I'm not familiar with Nissans. I traced my problem down through a Chilton book.

    my friend has a 90 Sentra, they are carbureted, try adjusting the idle screw
