Due Your Dash Light Suck ????

Will mine did untill I fix them. The pic I took came out to dark to post . The first thing I did was with the 194 bulbs I took the cluster apart and removed the blue defuzer that aloan improved the amount light by about 50% more light . Than I changed form 194 to LED light . The LED I bought are 4 lamp LED the 194 replacement that was good for about 40% more light . Than I added a 4th light just to the right of the gas gauge . Now I have light in the dash that work and I can see the speedo and gas gauge with out using a flash lite .

Very cool! My dash lights blow as well.

 

Some earlier threads say to use GE W5W bulbs. That's what I did two years ago and they are a big improvement.

what and where on the LEDs?

 

I Think he used the LED 194's. I've seen them in truck chrome shops before...

 

i wonder if they would make an inprovement in the side marker lights?

I've used LED's in pinball machines, the have the same base, they even make color changing ones.

 

I'm running W5W's in my side marker lights and instrument cluster. Made a huge difference.

 

I would think they would, should be brighter....

 

Jay called me and told me he was doing this and he was going to get them at the Triple T truck stop in Tucson. They should be available at most truck stops.

I used the 194 LED replacement lamp . When I was there I saw a 194 super bright LED lamp . I will be back thru tucson this week I think I will pick 4 super bright lamps for my side markers.
