The dash is not welded to the car on U.S. Mavericks.

    (y) What he said.... (it's the closest smiley to pointing up without laughing...) this is no laughing matter guys...

i too am thinking about the billet grille....maybe i'll look into it at a local aluminum shop, they make them for trucks and other cars here, maybe i can get my hands on some... hmmm....

a lot of the products in brazil look nice, yes.... on pictures... some are ok, but cost of shipping, and not to mention, the high resale value of the favored mavericks down there will lead to sky rocket prices plus shipping... we have a million fiberglass companies here in america... ahem...up22.....we can get it replicated here for cheaper..well, maybe not the first few... but if enough people want the stuff, i'll check into it myself and pay the extra for mine and resale some of the others to try and offset the prices.

derrick does a good job with the carbon fiber doing the same thing. carbon is way better.

    I can help you guys

Friends, I'm Brazilian and live in Brazil, and a 1979 Maverick GT v8 is my passion. I've been to US 6 times, just to buy parts for the Maverick, and believe me, mechanical parts costs 60% less than in Brazil (Summitracing). Some parts can be up to 80% cheaper in US than in Brazil. But I know that some handmade parts here are much cheaper and simply, does not exist in US. The billed grille, for instance, taillights, and other customized parts. I recomend two sites: www.maveco.com and www.mercadolivre.com.br (it would be our ebay). For having a idea of price, 1 US Dollar worths R$ 1.8 reais. (so divide the price on those sites by two and you have the price in dollars). IF you need any help with translation, or finding parts, count on me (i know how hard is it, it took almost 3 years to get my Maverick near of what I call ready).
    Best regards,

Thanks for the info! :tiphat: Your "maveco" site just shows to be about web site building though, nothing about Mavericks that I see.

You can purchase them direct from Charlie Yan via email at charlieyan@yahoo.com or by calling him direct at 916-983-5110. They are very nice and at a good price. A few other people on here have installed them liked them very much.

I wouldn't mind a hot Brazilian. Oh, car parts. Yea, that's right. Maybe some door dinges.

I'm sure there are several people on here in the U.S. that have good door hinges. Buying them from Brazil would be a waste of money, the shipping would kill you. and it's possible door hinges from a Brazilian Maverick may not even fit a U.S. one. I have a set of the factory 2.3L 4 cylinder motor mounts off a Brazilian Maverick, thinking they would be a simple bolt in installation, but the bolt holes do not line up on the frame mounts.
