so the 302 manifolds will go right in with the motor or will i have to persuade them too.the oil pan is another concern i just want somethign to go on it right now do you know of any oil pans that used front sump for stock applications........say i was to take one off another vehicle what vehiclke would work?io just need to get it together so i can drive it, then i will do the tear down and build the hell out of it:D .thanks for the help.

almost all the 60s & 70s fords, mustangs, lincolns, mercurys were front sump engines. the pump is always the same physically, you just need the front style pick up to bolt onto it. they're usually less than $10 new.

i was wondering what oil pans would work ......ones that would clear the space that i have......and is there an equal amount of space between the oil pan and powwer steering cylinder using a 302 or 351

they will fit fine will be a little close but they do work
if you use stock type pan leave stock oil pump in it no High Vol or Hi psi just stock
the way the front end comes up on mavericks or comet with that much torque even if it does spin some makes the front end come up that makes the oil run to the back of the pan where the sump or oil pickup is in the front and it sucks air and bad news for the bearings

are all 302 manifolds shaped the same?or is there a specific one im looking for..........because the manifolds that were on the 351 were real wide and they didt clear the towers at all so are all 302 manis narrower?

the flex form your a older 302 will work not a newer 5.0s 50oz
you need as 28oz but as long as its 157 tooth and the bolt pattern match up it will work the one on the 351w now
