Hey guys, I'm having this issue with the Mav. I was turning the idle adjust screw a little (the one that the throttle linkage lays on) , then for curiousity I gave it a bit of gas and moved this linkage that is on the opposite side of the carb. Then the engine kept this high idle. I turned the adjust screw far to see if it could lower the idle, but it didn't work. I don't know anything about carbs, I guess the choke got stuck , I really don't know. I wanted to know what I have to do to solve this mistake.

    Thanks in advance!

If its a 4 barrel holley you stuck the secondaries open.

If its a 4 barrel holley you stuck the secondaries open.If its a 2 bbl or 1 bbl you stuck the fast idle cam for the choke.Give it a wiggle with the throttle opened(engine not running) and see if it comes loose. You may have to physically open the choke plate and wiggle it to loosen it up.Once its working lubricate the stuff so it wont stick on you again.Good luck.

yeah, it was what you said, this lever-thing got stuck, I just pushed it down and voila, I didn't have to open the throttle, btw.

    Thanks a lot!
