Here's a web site from CarCraft that has some pretty good generic how to articles. I am making new door panels and iot was a pretty good reference source.

I used some of their info to fab up a packeage ledge sine my car didn't have on.
I went to our local Hancock fabrick Store and bopught some vinyl and some backing. The lady was great. she told me how to do the sewing on my wife's machine. It was not as hard as I thought it would be. Lot's of measuring aND MAGIC MARKING ETC. BUT RUNNING THE MACHINE WAS PRETTY STRAIGHT FORWARD. (dAMN CAPS LOCK)

Dude, this site rocks. If any of you haven't checked it out, there's tons of articles on panel repair and panel allignment (a commonly neglected art in my opinion). As a site note, the article on horsepower basics has a really clean, white Comet as the feature car. :)
