    Everyone,

I didn't know what I was talking about when I said papery thing... I meant the Rubber seal at the bottom of the trunk that the fuel filler tube runs through, I'd like to know where to get that. Also I'd like to know where to get the cork gasket that the fuel filler tube connects at at the back of the Mav. And last but not least the seal that the fuel filler tube goes in on the Gas tank itself... the old one I was gonna use but it is dry rotted and torn. Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks,
    Jason:bananaman

Jason, I just looked at my steelerubber.com catalog and on page 423 they have the fuel tank to trunk floor rubber gasket for the maverick. Part #D1ZZ-9008. price is $27.80. On the filler neck to tank pipe they list only for mustang & couger, maybe this is the same size and might work for you. They have a lot of maverick rubber parts and thier catalog is free on line. i couldn't find a repo, but i'm told they do exsist...

i used a rubber coupling i picked up at a home depot that was the same width. i jammed it down into the tank and sealed up around it with form-a-gasket.

i'm not saying thats the 'best' way or the 'most legitimate' but it did the trick.

    Thanks everyone,
