there was an amazing turnout last weekend at the anual Boonesborough Boogie Nationals car show. it's hosted every year at the Boonesborough state park and always has an amazing turnout but this year, there was over 1,000 registered cars there! 1,007 to be exact, and out of every car there.... there was only 2 Mavericks/Comets! just mine and another fellow board member from Paris, Ky. with a really nice '72 Grabber. his car was originally green with a 200, auto, column shift and bench seat but now sports a peppy 302 that turns 14.90's all day on street tires a 3.00 gears. needless to say i had a great time looking at all of the cars and talking 'maverick' to a new friend. cant wait for next year!! here's some pictures....
I was in the process of posting this exact thread lol. It was great to meet another Maverick owner! Im hoping for 14.50s after i find out what is making the engine bog at 4,500+rpms . great pics
