What colors are the wires for a 1974 Mercury Comet, (the wires are as follows) 1 - Coil 2 - Heat sensor And what changes, if any, would I need to make to a harness from a 1974 Mercury's full front harness, to get my Comet up and running? (I installed the harness, (headlights, starter relay, other lights, ) but the engine wiring is left off, due to me not knowing which wires are which (they're not colored like the 1972's, so they aren't too obvious in function. ) (For those that are interested, everything else on the 'ol Comet is DONE, once I got these suckers plugged in, she'll be back on the road, smokin' ricers, ) I considered just doing trial and error, but I'd rather not risk burning anything up.

Nah, That one diagram is for a '72 (I already have that diagram, ) My car is a 1972 Mercury Comet, but the harness (full front harness, from the fuse panel, ) is from a 1974 Mercury Comet 4 door (With a I-6... my comet has a V-8 302, ) At least I found out that that one switch (on the 74 harness) is some kinda seatbelt/starter interlock override or some damned thing.... Hell, all I want it to do is have lights, turn signals, and start...
i got a chance to look through my book but there is no actual wiring diagram i have to get a newer book i guess mine is actualy from 74 sorry i couldnt help
