those were the days when drag racing was THE REAL DEAL... I just watched some Drag racing and the funny cars and even some of the pro-stock cars hardly look like the cars they are supposed to represent... The only way I knew that John Force and his Daughter were supposed to be driving Mustangs was because of the painted on taillights and it had the word mustang painted on the car... I think the 70's era drag racing was the end of racing the real cars.. Back then you took a car off the factory assembly line and modded it out and made it go as fast as the car would handle. Now a days they build tube chasis and put fiberglass or carbon fiber bodies on the tube chasis and call them whatever they want... Gone are the days of old
