The best part is, that is only a sample, there is an 88 minute video full of 70's Yorktown footage.

I could watch Dyno Don making passes all day. Seeing the old cammer Maverick in action makes me miss him even more.:(

Kewl! Thanks for sharing.... I remember seeing Wild Bill Strewsberry & the LA Dart in the early 70's. I just love the wheel standers....

Every year there is a Gathering of old drag cars in York, PA. It is called the US 30 Nostalgia Nations. Anyone that enjoys seeing the old stuff should plan to attend.

those were the days when drag racing was THE REAL DEAL... I just watched some Drag racing and the funny cars and even some of the pro-stock cars hardly look like the cars they are supposed to represent... The only way I knew that John Force and his Daughter were supposed to be driving Mustangs was because of the painted on taillights and it had the word mustang painted on the car... I think the 70's era drag racing was the end of racing the real cars.. Back then you took a car off the factory assembly line and modded it out and made it go as fast as the car would handle. Now a days they build tube chasis and put fiberglass or carbon fiber bodies on the tube chasis and call them whatever they want... Gone are the days of old :(
