My Mav finally went to the painter today, looks like progress will really be picking up! He'll finish up my booger welds and do a minitub job on it, then block and paint. Hopefully 5 or 6 weeks from now I'll get it back "in style". Check out my dash, it only took me 10 days to flatten it out enough for a topcoat.

Congrats, Russ!!!! I dream of the day my 72 gets paint. Dash looks great. How hard was it to get that dash out? I ASSumed it was part of the body and the car might fall apart if I took it out...
    oh yea, YEEHAW!!!!

Dash comes out real easy once the front glass has been removed. Five small bolts across the top front, 3 larger bolts on each lower side corner. Oh yeah, plus all the other stuff like wiring, etc. :D

Yup, a special flexible catalyzed putty from Urethane Supply Co. as mentioned here in the "Tech Articles" section. I'm going to try and retexture my pad and spray it black instead of recovering it.

I bought an A/C lower package tray from Craig and wanted my upper vents to (almost) match. With the Vintage Air unit, pretty much anything goes! Thanks for "Yeehaws"! I'm pumped about finally getting something done!

Got the dash done and finished recoloring the interior pieces. Waiting on the M&H P325/50-15 DR's to come in so my bud, Ray, can finish up the minitubs.... :yahoo:
