whats up, got a 73 maverick grabber hood and trunk, minitubbed, V8 with nitrous, street car.....

are the grabber hoods and or scoops worth anything???...does anyone make functional scoops without just drilling the ones i have???

the 71-71 grabber hoods with the scoops could easily bring $500+ in mint condition

73 grabber just used stock flat maverick hoods with a grabber sticker on them though. theyre worth just as much as any other non-grabber hood

the scoops are so small though your really not going to get anything out of making them functional

I didnt think this car was really a grabber, but the hood and trunk spoiler look really good on the mavericks...

$500 sounds good to me, and your right, the scoops are a little small for the carb. to breathe...no drilling on $500....

    thanks for the comments!!!

Grabber hoods with the scoop only came on 71-72 cars. If it's a true Grabber the 3rd and 4th numbers of the vin would be 93. Standard 2 drs are 91.:)

Welcome to the board! if your car is truly a '73 Grabber, id like to have the info for the '73 Grabber Registry. :)

if you have a 1973 maverick, grabber or not, the only way it could have the scooped hood is if someone put it there

a 1973 grabber just had a plain flat hood with a decal on it

but looking at your vin should tell you one way or the other

looks like you have a 1974 plain maverick. someone has converted it over to the small bumpers and added the grabber hood

    Either that.....or somebody swapped a 1974 VIN over to a 1970-1973 body.

is the door tag still on the body inside the drivers side door jam

theres also a vin stamped into the top of the innder fender on the drivers side but you would have to take the fender off the car to reveal it i believe
