I finally got the engine in. Now I can cut the fenders in and mount them, do the final blocking on the whole car and finally get to paint.:bananaman By the way the valve cover hold downs in the pics are only temporary.

Thanks Ray. I wanted to ask you a question. I want to run my plug wires around the front of the valve covers and not over them. Do I need to buy a universal set and cut them to size so I can get a clean fit or does someone sell one that fits around the front.

    Scott,

I like your car more everytime I see progress pics ... very nice work and love the color. Those valve covers are excellent.

Here is what I did for spark plug wires ...

    spacers.jpg

Sorry it is not a better picture ...The holders are stock 5.0 Mustang items. The bolts holding down the valve covers are actually studs that the plastic wire holders clip onto. They continue around the valve cover to the next two bolts and the holders start at 4 wires, drop to 3, and end at two. My wire set is an Accel universal kit that I made the wires to the proper length.

You might want a wire color other than yellow ...

That sounds like what I'm looking for. Do you think I can get the holders from a bone yard or order them from somewhere? Yeah I'm looking for black wires. I want to keep everything clean and not have one thing stand out.

    Frank,

I added the word "resize" to my pics so I can tell the difference between the full size files and the ones I shrank for the forum.
