wishicouldof Iwishicouldof been thar to see that, as a kid that's all I ever wanted. Born too late tho.
I have been trying to convince my gf to take a trip over to g ray's. She don't live too far from there...closer than I do. I may run over there one day just to check it out and snap a few pics. Probably won't take the Maverick but maybe I'll let her make a pass in the Lightning
I would like to go there. Just the history alone.......its not on my list of places to take my maverick, but it would be cool none-the-less!
I've been by there, when I went up there to pick up some Comet parts, I was in a hurry and didn't get to stop and look around

Thanks for the Nice words My dad died in a car wreck when I was 12 we had raced at georges that summer the next year which was 1963 racers would come by the house and pick me and my brother up George never charged us a dime to get in. I raced there in 1968 just before I went to nam after the Service in the 70s, George said Darrell your out here every sunday How about you working for me I moved my trailer to the strip and stayed until the 80s I loved that old man just like if he were my dad He took the time to tell me about the world and its helped a bunch George went 1/2 way through the 1st grade He could not read or write But he could count $100.00 bills and build fast race cars He built that track for poor people amd he never tried to get rich with it last year the price was $8.00 to get in run your car for free. Theres been thousands of cars and racers George went 47 years before he ever missed a sunday of racing so CAL RIPKEN dont have a thing on george.
