thanks.the more we paint with it, the more i like it. it really POPS when it gets in the sun. the pics can't capture that well enough.
we got the green portion of the engine bay painted today and will do the black tomorrow as well as start the engine install.
we also got the cowls welded closed today. now we just have to finish them and prime and another project will be marked off of the list.
it isn't JD's shop. it is a private shop that my friend jerry has behind his house. he has every tool imaginable in it. we got to play with a plasma cutter today and a bead roller. i have GOT to get these when i build my future shop. made patching the cowls so easy. Mike did custom body work for almost 20 years and Jerry ( owner of the shop) ran drag cars and held national records for many years. between these 2 there isn't much they can't do or fix.
pics of Mike's project should be up tomorrow.

I'm not a big fan of green, but that's a sharp color right there! Looks good! Is the engine going to match the body color?

yes, the engine is matched to body color. green is one of those colors where people either love or hate it. for some reason i have always been drawn to it.
glad you like this shade. the color scheme is green and black with black and charcoal interior. there are plans in the works for ghost flames too.

no, what you are seeing is the dual battery cables i have running from the engine bay to the trunk. they are -0- guage and can easily be mistaken for piping. after the last fire, nothing flammable is allowed in the interior! i don't need anymore b-bqed mavs.

    Jason,

    Congrats on the progress!

NICE floorpans in that car ... makes mine look like a rust bucket (and it isn't ...)

Excellent choice on the new color, and I like how you still have the frame rails black.
