The opening in the trunk floor is approx. 25 1/4"w x 27 1/2". I have looked for several years and found nothing that is close to a drop in. However, if you are willing to do a little cutting and welding, installing a Mustang fuel cell or gas tank is not too major of a project. There are pictures on this board with a description of how to fit Mustang tank into a 69.5/70 Mav.

(Fuel cells are expensive if you get one that is designed for a particular car.) Summit, Jegs, Speedway Motors, etc. have steel racing cells for $200 and up or poly (plastic) for about $150 and up. If you are going to run it on the street, I would stick with steel cans. The generic fuel cells are mostly designed for race cars and will be a little more work to install the gas nozzle tube from the back of the car. It can be done, though, or you can just open the trunk to fill it with gas.
