I have a 1976 Maverick Stallion, and 85 More Mavericks and Comets in Inventory.
Use a larger Diameter exhaust system,, So the engine can breathe better,, change from the Factory coil to Accel,,, open the spark plug gap, an additional .002 ,, get away from the Bosch plugs,, make sure your using a really good 10/40 engine oil,, open up that brazilian air cleaner body with a few good sized holes,,, drilled around the outside.

If you need any more help,,, PM me, with a number I can reach you at,
I speak fluent spanish :thumbs2:. My Maverick in Paraguay used to be a 4 cylinder as well,, made in Brazil,, I gave her some Good American Muscle,
but did play around with that 4 cylinder quite a bit,,,

hey you sure you have a 4 cyl? I'm not trying to say you don't know but maybe you have the 6cyl? Maybe take a pic of it so we can see. And if it's a 4 cyl maybe you could figure out which kinda car it came from and you might be able to find the tuning specs that way.

If his car was made in Brazil, it very likely did come factory with the 4 cylinder.
