I was wondering if anyone knew how much clearance there is between the top of the intake and the bottom of the hood with a 5.0 Liter EFI Converted engine. Also is there plenty of room if the intake extended forward a couple of inches. I am looking into putting an aftermarket intake on the 5.0 liter we are going to put in and want to make sure there is room.

    Thanks

There is not a problem with hood clearance I have a complete 88 5.0 from a mustang in my mav NO PROBLEM . As far as aftermarket intake I would think room would not be a problem.

    Thanks!!!

I was think about running the BBK SSI intake and they had a disclaimer that it would not fit in a 94-95 mustang. I thought I would check.

I was wondering if you were asking for this reason. I *almost* would have been able to tell you because I intended to run this intake. I believe it would fit I can't now though because I am replacing my 302 with a 351 and the SSI intake is only made for the 302/5.0L. DOH!

You might want to talk to JAYMAN on this board . If I remember right he is install one on his mav WITH some problems ?

Also I was talking to one of the guys on the coral board about that manifold ( bbk ) this last weekend . In his opioin the best bang for the buck for a stock to mild 302 ( under 400hp / 6000rpm ) is a explore manifold .
