:drive: Hello everybody, Ive been reading but not writing on this forum so nows a good time to start. I bought my 69.5/70 Maverick last year for a mere $1,000 with shot original brakes all around, some nice 10 inch wide aluminum rims, 5 speed world class Borg Warner T5 trans in it and it is all primered black with some of the mustard yellowish color coming through the primer. I have to admit I only bought it to get by until my home loan went through so my debt to income ratio was low, per the no car payments and now I plan on keeping and restoring this. Thrilling story I know.

Thanks for the Welcome, eventually I will change my avatar from my 97 cobra to my 70 Maverick, I just don't have the pics on this PC yet. Does everyone list a 69 1/2 Maverick as a 69.5 or 70 ? Mine was made may8th of 1969 and has the key hole straight forward on my dash so it's way in the beginning of 69 when the first Mavericks were made. Probably deosn't matter. Later.

:Welcome: to the board! I have a '69.5 also, but it's been wrecked and I am using it for parts.

What's the last 6 digits of the VIN on yours? Sounds like a pretty early car.

It may be a v8 car now but would have came with a 6. V8's didn't come in them from the factory till 71.

Nor could it be a Grabber if it's a '69.5.
