I think my old man has some pics from that time. Don had a 4dr Mav and a Pinto I believe. I'll ask him about the pics he has from that race. He showed them to me when I was younger, and told me about the crazy fast passes Don made. He had a Boss 302 in one car, but I don't know which one. He also was known to run a 351 Cleveland motor too.
I saw the Cammer Funny car. It ran a 500+ inch stroked all aluminum SOHC if I recall. Kurt had a truck repair place in Twinsburg or somewhere. I sold him a 428 CJ short block back in the 70's. There was also a Cammer powered A/FD campaigned by Frank Jarvis of Barberton that used to run at the local tracks. I bought one of his SOHC 427's minus the block but never had the $$$ to build it. It had Hilborn continuous mechanical fuel injection! I later sold it to a guy in Cleveland. Wish I still had it. I would re-create Dyno's Maverick. The GREAT news is that Kaase is manufacturing Boss '9 parts again so a Boss 429 Maverick can again be a reality! Check out his new website!
hi Ed! Boy!!, did you _uck up! A freind of mine from syracuse told me is someone is starting to produce the heads again. Couple that with a Shelby block and HELLO!Check out the network 54 forum.Go to the FE section. Give me a holler tonight or tomorrow. I talked to a nostalgia guy tonight from texas(interesting). Al
I read that Gapp is spending his winters in florida. After he quit racing and sold out to roush, he started Gapp Industries. They were doing prototype for Ford. He sold the the company in 85 and retired. Gapp is one sharp cookie. That would be cool Ed if we looked him up and went fishing!if ya look in old photos, you will notice the sailor-type tennis shoes, he ALWAYS wore. Must have been some salt air in the blood
New to Forum Hey! I have been reading, and have enjoyed so much, Can see where this site could become addictive.

Does anyone know anything about Dyno,s Yellow Mav, what engine, trans combo, or any thing at all about the car. Was told it may have been in Missouri for several years? Thanks Danny.
Hi everyone, Just received my November 71 SS&DI issue today from Dragworld Usa. It has the whole breakdown on Gapp & Roush's blue shotgun express. Which one appeared first? The red or blue one? Thanks. Al
I have recently traded for what I was told, was one of Dyno's Mavericks, weathered but a very nice car. If I can firure out how to post a picture, maybe someome will recognize the car it seems to have been painted for some time, it is lettered OBSESSION on the sides. Any information appreciated.
