Whats up guys i have 74' mav 4door baby puke green with a 250 I6 auto, i was wondering if any one has thought of swapping another I6 in there. Even if its not a ford motor. (personally i'd like to have the ford falcon xr6 turbo motor the one with 416hp stock)

thanks guys. I wanted to keep it an I6, and the thought of putting an import I6 did go through my mind (skyline RB26dett) but i want to keep it all ford but i want to turbo it. So the efi from the 300 I6 swaps over easy? what else is required for this?

I think if you must have a six, a 300 would be a good choice. I know it's not gonna be a direct bolt-in, probably need to find an unobtainable oil pan or something, but easier than an import motor anyway. 300's are really tough engines, and I'd think they would probably respond well to turbo. And they're only a tiny bit smaller than the 302 in displacement.

I wonder if anybody's done this... :hmmm:

Nice.... I bet this would be super hard. i was listening to some exhaust clips and the 302 V8 sounds way way better than the 300 I6. I dunno which way to go? I would think it would be cheaper to go with the 302.

my dad had a 300 in his bronco and that thing was...... well crazy:character0182:. also if you dont turbo it you can get a dual out header and run a very raspy exhaust. i've have herd some sixes sound like v8s depending on the muffler x or H pipe... well you know .... you have to dare to be different.
