    Hello again:
    It seems that I have offended you in some way by not spending enough time on this forum or in looking over the other cars that attend the NPD show. I'm sorry if you feel slighted. You shouldn't. There are a lot of really great cars at that show , I'm sure yours could be included among them . I find this forum very interesting and as a whole, the questions and the problems that are addressed , and the solutions offered are of great value to ANY enthusiast. As far as being into my "own" group .. OF COURSE I AM !! Do you not feel a bond with the organization YOU are linked to .. I am not resentful because "other" clubs out there exist.. I'm glad they do .. I have been helped many times from various individuals IN that group and I like to think that CAMEO has helped them as well when the need arose. Its not about the "club" , its about the CARS ..I think CAMEO provides valuable information to those who are in need of it. Check out our website. We offer several "do it yourself" projects online and it isn't necessary to "contact" us to get the info. Its there already. I haven't had as much time as I would like (who does) to put up other projects such as converting to an AOD transmission, installing sub frame connectors , etc. etc. but I do plan to do this eventually. To sum up ,
    I am into Mavericks and Comets as much as anyone I've met so far , but I don't feel its necessary to behave in any certain way to demonstrate my commitment . I personally think you two guys (Ray) have some really neat vehicles . What more is there to say ? and I " DON'T " have any hard feelings. honestly. Chip :)

    I haven`t mentioned any Club or Organization in any of my posts, for the record I`m not a member of any of them.

    I see no problem with anyone being into there own group, I`ve just never encountered anyone else who was into these cars who seemed as Dis-interested in
    other peoples cars ,or information about this site as you guys were.
    I usually only get that when talking to someone about these cars who is into Concours Mustangs or maybe Corvettes.

    Also for the record, I have visited the Cameo site a number of times over the years since it popped up on the web and thought it was a great site and organization.

    Good Luck with your Parts Sales.

    Hi Jason:
    We're knee deep in Comet here at CAMEO . We're building a 74 Comet with World Products 4 bolt main 427ci block and a "Lentech" AOD transmission and matched converter (guaranteed to 1000 HP) . I know we'll not reach that level but the owner Lenny has built an engine with this same trans using a "dominator" carburetor and has realized 680 HP with his setup. We are using a Trick Flow Fuel Injection 90mm throttle body with big AFR aluminum heads ,Three inch driveshaft with "spicer" ends ,Griffin Radiator , Electric fan , tranny cooler, mustang 11 front end with power steering , disc brakes all the way around , 9 inch with a 373 posi , 21 gal Mustang fuel tank with a "sump" , electric fuel pump, Vintage AC , New Interior , White face tack amd gauges, Sublime Green & Black paint , and a lot of other goodies that you'll see on the next NPD show ( GOD willing) ha. I've been covering a lot of the work we've done in the Newsletters along with other items. This one should be a really interesting car and I think it will be about two months before we're able to drive it . We have to get it "running" ( We are having a chip burned just to get it started , then we'll put about 200 miles on the engine and then tow it up to Jacksonville for the final "Dyno" and full tweaking like we did the Blue Comet with the 347. These guys do a beautiful job ( they were featured in a popular magazine just recently.. the guys name is Tony and he runs a Mustang on the racing circut and does real well ) and they know FORDS..
    I'll keep you posted now that I know you're interested. Keep in touch Jason , its always good to hear from you .. Chip:)

    Hello Joe:
    Its been awhile since we've spoken. I hope everything is going as planned. Have you got any news on when the the splash-guards for the Comets and Mavericks will be available yet ? I managed to find one that was a little "tweaked" from a CAMEO member in Arizona ( Thank You Jim) and I've given it to the paint departrment and they are going to carress it a bit , paint it and return it to me so we can continue with the Comet we're building now. We have the engine installed now , headers done and coated , radiator plumbed and installed , electric fan and shroud in place,
    and we need this splash-guard in order to fit the transmission cooler and
    run the lines so nothing touches . Its suprising how a little part like a Splash-Guard could delay a project so long. Anyway , I'll keep you posted and I'll be sending more pictures as we go . Keep in touch .. I look for a lot of activity in the coming year . I seen a lot of beautiful Mavericks and
    Comets at this last NPD All Ford show last week and I'll be sending some photos of those also in our upcoming CAMEO Newsletter. Keep in touch.Chip

    Hi MAV;
    I just realized who you guys are. I took some photos of you and your buddies car in Perry , Georgia. These photos are in CAMEO's June 2006 Newsletter on two pages . If you'd like a couple of copys , send me an address on my email and I'll mail them to you. When I was talking to you two guys we also had to sign in on the Hot Rod POWER TOUR at each stop so there wasn't a lot of time for small talk. As I remember , I DID look at both of your cars , took pictures , complimented both of you on your cars and moved on. If this is your recollection also , then the other guy running with me on the tour was Alex in a black 71 Maverick grabber. I was driving the 75 Blue Comet. We parked on the LEFT on the entrance road , and you both were parked on the RIGHT side. I remember it well.
    Let me know if you're interested in the newsletters. Thanks Chip :)
