Hey guys, really glad I found this site! Hope you can answer a question for me. The 1974 Maverick is the first one with disc brakes which came from the Mustang II. Being as my 74 Maverick is specific, I was wondering if the Russell braided front brake line from the 74 Mustang II would fit the 74 Maverick?
Thats a good question.I would be more concerned with overall length. You can allways get the proper fitting and cut/re-flare the brake line.I would think the caliper end would be the same since they share the components between both models.Call em and and find out.
Thanks for the reply, MavMan. It made sense to me that it should fit since they used the same parts. I don't see why some company doesn't make braided brake lines for a Maverick.
I'm in north Mississippi...50 miles from Memphis. I really like your car...love the taillights! They should make a kit to do that....I know it is pretty involved. Don't laugh, but I saw a 66 Mustang with 67 Camaro taillights and it looked pretty good.
Thanks...and they actually do make a taillight kit but it doesn't include the tail light panel. Oh, and there is one of our Maverick members on here that has Impala tail lights in his Maverick. Looks great too.
I have READ where the 1974 Mavericks used the same disc brake parts as a Maverick.....but I have never SEEN it. I think it is an urban legend.
Huh, I never knew they were the same calipers?
