Wouldnt be enough subscriber interest to make it profitable let alone operational.(unfortunately)

I am in the retail service end of the magazine business.

Here's how the economics of it all works ...

When you buy a subscription to Hot Rod, Car Craft, etc ... for $12 a year, all you are doing is paying the postage to get it to your house. Advertisers pay all of the other expenses.

So, ... all we have to do is round up the multitude of manufacturers of reproduction Maverick and Comet parts and ... :rofl2:

Does it make sense why this wouldn't work? ... even if we could come up with 100,000 subscriptions, which would probably be the minimum break-even point.

 I love it I'd even pay $30.00 a year for such a magazine. Then wouldn’t our problem be there’s only just over 6,000 registered members on this site who actually own Mavericks/Comets? And too many of these same members are parting out whats left out there. I’m not trying to cap on anyone it’s just kind of sad. I love my Mavs & Comets, again I remind you anyone can own a Mustang or Camero uh, I did.

There is an all Maverick/Comet magazine out there. It is called "Shorthorns" and it is the bi-monthly full color newsletter of the Maverick Comet Club International, Inc. (MCCI). It is only $20 a year mailed to your house.....or $15 a year if you have it emailed to you. Find out more at: www.MaverickCometClub.org

O.K. "Magazine" might be an overstatement....but it is still pretty darn tootin' nice!! :D (y)

The magazine thing is a bit of a tough sell in this market. The internet gives us access to just about everything. Cant remember the last time I bought a magazine. I get Ontario out of doors only because its included with my anglers and hunters membership. I get more info out of forums then I ever could from a mag. Times have changed.

I myself use to by an average of 6 to eight magazines per month. It was quite expensive. I've cut that back to zero since I have a Barnes and Noble in the area. One Grande Mocha each week and I can read three or four mags and then put em back. I am however concidering buying a subscription to Ledgenary Ford. I just became a supporting member and can't wait to see the first copy of Short Horns. Are back issues available I wonder? ... Bob
