haha im a chevy man it runs in my family but i love the maverick its different and there hard to come buy. chevys are a hell of a lot cheaper to build and a whole lot easier to work on and more trouble free

i wouldn't put a chev motor in a ford. i'm the type of guy that likes to keep same brand motor to same brand car. you could learn something new and put in a 302 would be a lot less work because you wouldn't have to modify anything to get it to go in. there are a lot more 302's out there then you would think. yeah you might spend a little more on performance parts, but if you were just to drop a stock motor into it in my opion the parts cost about the same as a chev 350. but it's your car and do what you want to it and always remeber mavericks are suppose to be fun!!!

im the kind of person that likes fords with fords, chevy with chevy's and dodge's with dodge's. Simply keep the brand car with the same brand motor. buuuttt its up to you obviously. good luck.

Maybe cheaper to build, but not any easier or trouble free.
It's tough enough to get a 302 in a Maverick, I wouldn't want to even think about a 350 (yuck)

heck if you have a 302 just drop it in. it will save you the head aches and not to mention how confused would your friends be to see you in a full on ford.

You're probably going to have to do more than a little to the engine bay. You'll probably have to go to a Mustang ll suspension to fit a 350 in. What ever makes you happy. I'd still like it with a Chevy motor. My friend races 2 Falcon wagons with Chevy motors. 1 runs 10's and the other is in the 9's. Good luck with it.:)
