that level of build defintly negates the cost of chevy vs ford. those parts cost the same as similar parts for a ford.
feel free to do as you want but dont lie to your self by saying your saving money. your not alone on puting non ford motor in the mav. there a viper v10 being put in one and a turbo supra motor going in another.

IMHO, I think it'd be more trouble than its worth, but as others have said, its your car to build how you want. Personally, I like same brand engine as the car no matter what the make, but I have given some serious thought to swapping a 429/C6 9in to a early 70's camaro just to piss the chebby guys off!:biglaugh:

With as much as you will spend (to do it RIGHT) to get that (P.O.S.) engine in there, you can build a very healthy, not to mention lighter weight small block Ford stroker, and bolt it in.

But, it's your car, money, time, so whatever.

Buy a nova to put the chev in,sell the mav.Or put a Ford in it.The "chevies cheaper to build" crap just does not hold water anymore:hmmm:.If you're a chevy guy, then go get a chevy body. That way when you lose you can't say "that Ford body held me back":yup:.

Have you seen this? It has been in a few magazines and is featured on a few websites.

The best part is to make sure you read the comments at the bottom of the page so you can see how bad the chevy guys are crying that it has a ford in it.:rofl2:

It's not any worse than the one in Hot Rod (this month) with the Toyota engine.
