I have been looking to buy a comet but came across a 71 maverick with a 302 - 3 speed, looks like a grabber, all original. I can pick it up pretty cheap, is this combo worth anything being a 3 speed?

Damn that's what I'm looking for I'll buy it .....LOL. I think everyone here will say HELL yeah as long as the cowl at the dash is not rusted big pain in the A$$ to fix. So if the car is decent with normal 30 year old issues then buy it. The GRABBERS with sticks on the floor all came with three speeds so good luck.................:drive:

The guy said originaly it was on the colum then they moved it to the floor. He said it was originally a 3 speed car with V8, and it has the grabber hood on it

Get the VIN number it will tell you if it is a real Grabber and which engine it left the factory with.
