great article... i read it last week... shame to see those pics of mavericks wasting away but the article does justice... describes mavericks as "serious no-frills" cars :thumbs2:

I just bought this issue and was quite pleasantly surprised to find a mention of Mavs. I just wanted to learn how to paint my car cheap.

Same here...They make it sound so easy dont they?:D

If it is, that would be fantabulous!!

From the standpoint of a rookie car enthusiast and not having anyone to pass info and advice down to me, and show me the ropes, this article seemed to have alot of that in it. Heck, the entire magazine does as well...I just might subscribe!

Of the three mags I get, Hot Rod, Popular Hotrodding, and Car Craft, I definitely enjoy CC the most. They continuously threaten to build up a Maverick, but have never done it. At one point, they were asking for a donation, but I don't know what happened to that deal...

I picked it up a week or so ago after i was disapointed with the new issue of hotrod. I may just drop my hotrod and pickup carcraft.

I've had a subscription to HR since 1982, it comes and goes, I've only been getting CC for the last 4 years, it's awesome, I enjoy every month.

I have learned from CC but not from HR. Maybe it's cause I get turned off by all the Cheby articles in HR that I just can't seem to get into it. CC gets my vote actualy because I notice better how to articles, esp paint and body stuff.

I have been subcribing to CC since 1984.Its had its ups and downs but it is finally going in the right direction again.I dont subscribe to any other mags,CC seems to be the "best of" for me.

I've never been too big of a fan of Chevy Craft but now I have a reason to pick one up ;)

I have been a avid Carcraft supporter for years but ever since David Furburger left it's kinda gone down hill for me.I loved all his crazy buget build ups and pointless thrashing, like the 200 NOS hit on a stock 318 Duster! Now more and more it's leaning to the high dollar street machines. And have you noticed how thin the last few issues have been? I'm still hooked and will keep picking up the mag but like they say it ain't what it used to be.
