Jeff came down yesterday with his Mav. and had a ...floorshift C4 in the trunk... (Earls from his T-5 swap)
    Earl came down to help...:Handshake
we rolled my Mav. out and put his on my lift. after dropping the pan so it could drain, we went to...5 Guys Burger and Fries...and met Mike and Olin for lunch.
we got the transmission in and the shift lever flipped, by then it was time to eat again...:yup: we went to ...Burger King... and grabbed a burger and fries. on the way home we stopped and picked up some transmission fluid.
about another hour and he was back on the road...

the weather was perfect and the company was great...:thumbs2:

...now back to putting my car together...:tiphat:

"a large time was had by all."

Thanks again Frank for the use of your lift...and time. It sure beat working with jack stands and laying on the back. The trans jack is the only way to go. I would had to balance the transmission on a floor jack if I did this swap by myself. Thanks go to Earl for his help too. We need to do lunch a 5 Guy Burger and Fries more often. The whole day went great with good friends, good food and great weather.

Jeff, it looks like your car is starting to resemble patches!
Maybe you have been parking it too close? LOL :rofl2:

Bobby- It cools, steers and stops just like Patches did at one time. The right front fender even changed into the same colors as Patches. But the trans shifts and the seats feel like Earl's Grabber did at one time. But no parts are turning into that ugly color like Earl's Grabber yet...knock on wood. :rofl2:

But seriously...these two men have helped me a lot in parts and know how making my $250 Maverick safe and dependable. The last time you saw it at FFW I was too scared to drive it across the parking lot thinking it wouldn't make the trip back up the hill to the trailer. I still got a lot to do yet but I'm chipping away at it, thanks to Frank, Earl, Jamie, Mike and Terry

I hear ya! It's always better when you have friends! I've been helping Clay get cars and parts from Jared, we just about bought all his stuff! Got a few things I was needing ,too. And I can't forget the good guys here on the board that I've gotten stuff from. I rather buy from a friend than trust a junkyard anyday!
