help with egr

    I think these are for the egr but they have been bent up and even rusted in half. Is there an aftermarket plate to block off the holes or what needs to be done?

    1972 Maverick 2 door.Original V-8 3 spd std shift.Also a 72 one owner Sprint sporting a 351 Windsor
    Thats for the thermactor air injection set up...(smog pump)I dont know how strict emissions laws are in your area but,you could just plug the holes in the end of the heads or put a pair of pre-smog heads or aftermarket ones on the engine.I dont know if your going to be able to find those air tubes.Good luck.

    Those holes are the same on either side of the heads, with the front holes having a threaded insert for the accessory bolts to grab onto. I think you can get those inserts from Ford and thread a bolt into the hole to cork it. I blocked mine of with a thin flat plate bolted into one other holes that was big enough to cover the smog hole. Not the best way but it doesn't leak....much!
