I am going to go one step further....
    The cars are nice!!
I love my maverick and would kill a man if they harmed my car in any way...
but it's the people that I have become friends with as a result of owning a maverick that NO MUSTANG or any other brand owner could ever understand or enjoy!!!!

The real question is what does he think about Comets?

Personally I love mine even with the charging problems. It is my favorite car. I like the body lines and the fact that you just don't see them anywhere. Mustangs are sweet and I'd own one in a heartbeat but they aren't my Comet.

Besides, Our cars appear to be more aerodynamic than the early Mustangs. Lighter too. Add to that a factory V8 in a RWD 2 door coupe and you have a real nice base for a serious street killer or fast driver. Even a dragcar if you want.
Also, mention that 1970s Mavericks are way cooler looking than 1970s Mustangs.

this guy sounds like a good person to buy a maverick from. should be able to get a really nice one from him for just $1500.00.

Actually to me some people's perception that Mavericks are worthless is a good thing. This way we can afford to own more than one and buy parts cars. For me at least I never got into Mavericks for the investment anyway...so higher valued Mavericks = higher costs. I like Mavericks because I like Mavericks...not because I think they're worth a lot...

I'm OK, (I think) I'm just trying to add some humor to this otherwise "same old thing post" :deadhorse
We get into this every so often, and man some people really get serious.
It's like the Ford vs. Chevy thing....
Who really cares what some guy says about your car?? :D
(plus I like to tease you gene, every chance I get) :D

Things are worth what someone will pay for them, sounds to me like his mustang is worthless since he has to beg you to buy it.......gnats are always annoying....

I just remembered i read in a magazine an article that used the same figure but in the opposite way. It said a maverick in unrestored condition is worth at THE LEAST 1500. I'll see if my uncle still has the article and try to scan it. then we can send it to that fella. that might send a proper "stuff it!" message.
