Yesterday I got to Frank's house as soon as the sun came up. We drove to the boondocks to check out a 75 parts car. The 2-door LDO had every option available. V8, buckets, AM/FM, A/C, Power Disc Brakes and more. We could not see paying the asking price so we drove to the middle of nowhere to a junkyard. We found 3 Comets and 2 Mavericks to pick over what was left on them and stopped at Shoney's for a late lunch. When we got back home, after driving 245 miles or so, I loaded up a few small parts that I wanted to get bead blasted. We came back and worked on Patches for an hour or two and I came back home. A great time was had by all
the bumper was trash but the gravel guard on top and the small bumper brackets are there. the guy at the j/yard said the GT was a clone...Jeff took a pic of the door tag and if we can read it maybe we can tell if it is or not. grilles were shot.... as always..."a large time was had by all." Jeff and i are are heading West tomorrow. a guy has a Grabber Hood we are going to get... ...about 10 miles from the Bama line... ...Frank...
Hey what gives?? How come you southern guys throw out perfectly good cars? That Comet GT wouldnt last 2 minutes in a yard up here. I think maybe you are spoiled.
That Comet GT doesn't have any wheels on it...and the hood is not bolted to the hinges. Why not throw it out??
Love the bone yard pictures, and yes as Darren says, they wouldn't last 2 minutes up here in the frozen North.
