Hi I own a 1973 ford maverick that was originally a six cylinder car,I'm not sure if you would call it green or rust but i love it. My six year old daughter are restoreing it togethther. She is quite a little mechanic. I tried to get this car from the owner for ten years but he wouldn't sell. I didn't let that keep me from stopping by every now and then to see if he had changed his mind. His bad fortune turned into my good fortune. He hurt his back and had gave up on it. He tryed to pass it off as a grabber but I took my ID book with me and found out he had installed a 1978 302 and convert the axle and rotors over to 5 lug ones plus he had anded the rear spoiler. to make a long story shart I ended up with it for $150. I put less than a hundred into it and drove it for three months before I started takeing it apart to restore. With five kids the going is slow but four out of the five want one to drive when they get old enough. They will be the next generation for our cars. I have been looking at the brazilian mavericks and would like to make a clone of one of them just to have an even more unquie car in my area. anyway it is good to meet people not stuck on mustangs!

Sounds like you got a super deal on that Maverick. Also there were a lot of things already done to it that you might have decided to do anyway.

Wow. Great price. Most people don't know that most Grabbers were 6 cylinder cars. There only grabbers if they have a 93 in the vin, not a 91. Welcome to the board.:Welcome:
