Try adjusting the timing and carb - there is more to a tune-up then replacing parts.
    Plug gap - .028 - .035"
    dwell - 28 - 32 degrees (.017" gap)
    timing - 6 - 10 degrees BTDC
    Carb:
idle speed (with curb idle solenoid disconnected and in Park) 650 to 750 rpm
........ without curb idle solenoid 700 in Drive??? (adjust curb idle solenoid to 700 in Drive)
Idle mixture - adjust for highest RPM then readjust idle speed
Choke - to just close completely when cold - adjust as required for weather and humidity.
replace PCV valve - they all rattle that is not a valid test of function
    Check for vacuum leaks
Check fuel pump pressure and replace fuel filter
Replace air filter - a dirty one can cause an engine to run too rich.

Make sure that as soon as the throttle moves the accelerator pump arm moves. There should be no hesitation between the two. You can lengthen or shorten the bolt at the arm to adjust it. Make sure that at wide open throttle you still have around .015 clearance so you do not rupture the accelerator pump diaphragm.
I would check the mechanical advance mechanism in the distributor. If it is locked up the engine will not run good at all.
Check the wiring inside the distributor. I have seen the wires get frayed by the action of the advance and cause trouble.
I would drop the points and at least got to a point elimination kit like the Pertronics. Points out of adjustment sure won't let an engine run well.
    My best guess.

Also check to see if you have water in the gas.How old is fuel filter? It sounds like an advance issue.
