Today i removed all power steering components, (which will be for sale.) Tomorrow i will be installing my manual steering adapter.. I came to realize that i still need a waterpump/crank tension pulley to take the place of the ps pump. how are people doing this? any pics? (y)

Get pulleys from a non P/S car. Or put a spacer behind the water pump pulley so that it lines up with the alternator pulley, and get a belt to fit.

If you are running the stock V belts, the simplest thing to do is get a set of pulleys from a manual steering car, and then you can just run one belt from your crank to your water pump and alternator.

What pulleys do you end up replacing? water pump, crank on a 73 302 ?

Yup, you swap the water pump and crank pulleys.

Go to my photobucket site and see what I did. The crank pulley is from a 351W with the outer two sheeves milled off, the water pump pulley is the stock one. I had to place a thick washer behind the atlernator pulley to line it up with the other two. I made the alternator bracket from 3/8 thick aluminum.

i pulled the crank pully water pump pully and altornator pully off of a late 80's early 90's crown vic and i am now running a serpentine belt. you have to shim the altornator a little bit but it's not bad. you just have to tighten the belt like you do a v-belt. it's a pretty cool mod. i couldn't find the pullys here for a none power steering car.

I have all those pulleys out in my garage, I've collected a few off different cars. After this weekend, I plan on doing that swap, and install an electric fan.
