will this flexplate work

    hey check the tech questions from the past week this was a topic they were talking about some guys thought the if the car had the C4 installed with the 6 it would work but if not you need a flex plate for the C4 to fit the 302. I have the big bell housing and took out the 6 cyl and had to get a new one to fit my C4 hope this helps but there is a member who works on trannys for a living and members who just know the answer.

    That is the correct flexplate for a roller motor with a small bell C-4

    Im not sure of that part as i have never fooled with the 250s enough to know, But i would go as far to say if it will bolt up and the six had a 157 tooth flywheel, I wouldnt see why not.

    If you have a big bellhousing on the c4, you need the 164 tooth flexplate. If you have a small bell c4 it will fit.:)

    I am putting back a small bell housing c4 that came from a 250.

    I just ordered it. I am hoping it will be here by friday so I can put the tranny in this weekend
