Does anybody have picks of the engine in that car and any info. I have only heard rumors. Any info would be great
A quick Google would had found https://www.fordsix.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=430728&sid=85b24de48b829d939b6b35f98e564e62
Some one told me they took two cylinders to make one head for that engine. Is there any truth to this??
I wish there were more aftermarket parts available here in the states for a Maverick with 250 inline6s as the Australians have for their inline6s. These are actually very good strong engines and if properly modified can really kick some High Horsepower
That will bolt after cutting apart and reweld. Do you know how much fab work was done? did they have to move head bolt locations. Any pictures? How fast was that pinto with the 300 in it.
Looks like you didn't read the article in the link. The article states it was a 240 6 cyl head with 427 FE valves.
I read that. Like I said some one told me a few things about this car and he is so old now he wasn't sure and im trying to figure it out.
Clifford can possibly tell you what to do to your Ford 300 inline6 to get it to do what you want it to do. http://www.cliffordperformance.net/
I had a buddy from H.S. that had a 300 in his Maverick and it ripped. He had headers on it and a 2 barrel carb with a split ex. manifold dueled off and it sounded pretty good too.
If I can ever find the article in the stacks of old magazines my dad gave me, it details the build up of what they termed the Boss 300. It was as described above. They took 2 or 3, 351 Cleveland heads and built a head for the 300. I'll do some digging the weekend and see if I can find it. - Matt
Does this sound anal?... I can't be bothered to look for the linked images... what is a Preparation H Maverick? (Actually, I couldn't load the attachements... secured site???)
