The BS with an 8" rim should be 4" or better for best fit,
but that should work. You might have to roll the fender
seam (lip) up to give some outside clearance.

IMO 255s look best on 7" rims, but 8s will do the job.

Do you have the rims in hand to give them a try?
If not, then I would wait and see if anyone has tried
that combo. I have test fit 7" with 4" BS and 255s
and liked it much. However, that rim is more or less
equal to what you would see on the outside if you
were to use an 8" rim with 5" BS.

Should work, but like ratio sez,you might have to roll the lip.I had 15x8 w/3 3/4 bs on my Comet w/235/70s.they fit well, but my fender lips had already been rolled.

I have two Mavericks one stock and one not so stock. I run 15x8 and 255 60,s on both of them , tires fit real nice inside fenders and no airshocks.

I have 255/60r15 on mine. 15X8 Cragars, with 4-1/4 BS. I have about 3/8" clearance at the springs, and rub on the fender on hard launches.

In my opinion, you may have issues with the fender. You would be moving those tires another 1/2" closer to the femders than mine are. I don't think you have the space to move them that far.

So, you guys aren't hitting the fender?

Mine only does it when I am at the track and really launch hard. And it has been corrected by putting CalTracs on to limit downward travel.

That first picture I thought it was mine. Looks almost exactly the same.

Regardless. this guy is putting another half inch out toward his fender. Do you guys have room for that?

And yes, I have mine sitting a little lower than stock, by about half an inch. I like the hunched down look all around.

Do this same BS work using 8" for the front as well?
