Anybody put a 429 in mav?

    Gotta use a MustangII suspension and get rid of the shock towers to get a 429 under the hood.:)

    Okay heres the details of the engine..



    "1973 429 ford motor 4bbl carb took on trade looks like heads have had some work looks like new pistons been setting needs cleaning it needs heads bolts intake bolts and fly wheel"

    What would be a good price if even worth it...

    73 is going to have one of the worst set of heads

    300 would be fair if it runs:)

    I done some measuring in my car before i went with the 302 cause i was tempted to pull the 429 out of my truck but it is way to much work IMO for the gain.

    429 motor weighs 700 lbs, so you would be adding 200 more lbs to the front of an already light yet, nose-heavy car.

    Great for a lot of tire smoke, but I doubt much else unless you really get into a bunch of rear suspension science...

    A 351 will tax the stock suspension. Food for thought ...
